Accreditation Services

  • UKAS assesses and accredits:

- Laboratories in accordance with the requirements of BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005

- Medical Laboratories in accordance with ISO 15189

- Medical Reference Measurement Laboratories in accordance with ISO 15195

- Certification bodies in accordance with the requirements of: ISO/IEC 17021, EN 45011 (ISO Guide 65), ISO/IEC 17024, ISO 14065 and EU Council Regulation (EC) No 761/2001

- Inspection bodies in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17020:1998 (EN 45004)

- Proficiency testing schemes in accordance with the requirements of ISO Guide 43-1

- Reference Material Producers in accordance with ISO Guide 34

- Attestation Bodies in accordance with EN 45503

  • UKAS also assesses and recommends organisations on behalf of the relevant government department for the purposes of notification in respect of EC Directives and UK regulations.
