UKAS, in collaboration with its National Quality Infrastructure partners BSI and NPL, was delighted to have participated in the prestigious Lord Mayor’s Show last week in London. This joint effort was aimed at highlighting the critical significance of trust and confidence in the goods and services that form the backbone of our daily lives, while also underscoring the importance of innovation in driving progress and excellence.
The event also marked the commencement of UKAS Non-Executive Director Michael Mainelli’s term as the Lord Mayor. In this role, he will serve as a representative of the City of London on the global stage and lead business delegations to international markets, thereby strengthening ties and promoting business opportunities. His leadership and vision will contribute to showcasing the City’s strengths and capabilities to the world.
The Lord Mayor’s Show is not just a celebration of the City of London community; it is also a time-honoured tradition with a rich history spanning over 800 years. Being part of this momentous procession alongside the iconic golden State Coach was a tremendous privilege for UKAS, allowing the organisation to be a part of a tradition that has endured for centuries and continues to symbolize the City’s heritage and resilience.
