UKAS welcomes the UK-Ukraine Digital Trade Agreement, which was signed yesterday by the UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Kemi Badenoch and the Ukrainian First Minister.
This agreement will further support reconstruction efforts within the region, as well as the facilitation of cross-border data flows and enhanced trade with the UK through electronic transactions, e-signatures, and e-contracts. The use of technology to overcome technical barriers to international trade is something accreditation already plays a role within, and further work is ongoing to ensure a robust, trustworthy system is in place that supports business and regulatory needs.
Through our International Advisory services, UKAS has been able to support the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine with free advice and training services and we will continue to do what we can to assist our Ukrainian colleagues in this difficult time.
