On Monday 19th September, the UKAS offices will be closed for all but essential business cover, to allow us all to pay our respects and commemorate the reign of Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her state funeral.
This notice outlines important information regarding the arrangements UKAS will be making:
- Office Closure: Our office will be closed for normal business but will remain open for essential business cover.
- On-site/remote activities: UKAS will aim to minimise the impact on assessment/training activities. We have instructed our Assessment/Training teams to make the appropriate decision to proceed with critical assessment activities in consultation with all affected customers and considering the opportunity to use remote assessment/training.
- UKAS-led external events, website/social media: In keeping with the ten-day period of official mourning after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, UKAS-led external events will be postponed and we will restrict website/social media posts to only essential communications.
Although this is a very sad time for the Royal Family and a poignant time for us all, we can continue to acknowledge the unprecedented legacy of Her Majesty’s dedication to public-service, dignity and humility, which continues to inspire our work and personal lives.
Thank you for your understanding and support at this time.
