This Bulletin is to provide Certification Bodies with clarification when dealing with non-cooperation issues covered within IAF MD2 Section 2.4.
Where the issuing certification body:
(i) has not provided the requested information to the accepting certification body, or
(ii) suspends or withdraws the transferring client’s certification without cause
Then either the receiving certification body and/or the transferring client shall contact the accreditation body which accredits the issuing certification body. Where the issuing certification body is accredited by UKAS the receiving certification body and/or the transferring client should use the UKAS feedback process to advise UKAS to enable the situation to be investigated: https://www.ukas.com/services/complaints-and-appeals/.
In the event that the issuing certification body continues not to cooperate with the receiving certification body or suspends or withdraws the transferring client’s certification without cause, UKAS shall take appropriate action which may include the suspension or withdrawal of the issuing certification body’s accreditation.
