IAF has stated in a new FAQ that all standards transitions and migrations have been extended by 6 months, the answer to FAQ 20 states “Yes, transition periods are extended for six months. The audit for transition can be done with remote audit techniques, following what has already been clarified in FAQ 5 .” UKAS has gained clarification that this answer refers to all current transitions, therefore the transition deadlines are now as follows: –
For ISO 45001: 2018 – 30 September 2021
For ISO 22000: 2018 – 31 December 2021
For ISO 50001: 2018 – 31 January 2022
For ISO 22301: 2019 – 30 April 2023
IAF has also extended the application dates for Mandatory documents currently being implemented, the answer to FAQ 24 states “Yes, transition periods of all IAF mandatory documents are extended for six months. therefore, revised application dates are as follows: –
for IAF MD 5: 2019 – 7 November 2020
for IAF MD 17: 2019 – 7 November 2020
for IAF MD 22: 2019 – 7 November 2020
With regard to the new version of MD 8, this has been approved by ballot and is awaiting publication, we will provide an update once it is published.
