By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Understand and apply the fundamentals for conformity assessment schemes.
- Explain the importance of the scheme in accredited conformity assessment activity.
- Determine if the object of conformity assessment (e.g. the product, the process, the service, the person) satisfies the requirements within the specified scheme.
- What is a CAS?
- Where does a CAS fit in with accredited conformity assessment activity?
- Is the CAS valid? Does it matter?
- CAS ownership – who owns the scheme, and does it matter?
