What will you need?
UKAS Academy courses are usually delivered via the Adobe Connect application. Download links for this free programme can be found via the Adobe Connect download webpage.
Before you book a virtual course, please ensure you meet our minimum requirements.
For the majority of courses, delegates will need an internet-connected computer or laptop plus headphones with a microphone. A USB headset is best, but any Bluetooth or mobile headphones with a microphone will allow you to interact with the classroom. Broadband internet connection is preferable.
Software including MS Office programmes, Adobe PDF and online sharing programmes such as Google Docs or Microsoft SharePoint are frequently used throughout our virtual courses.
For additional course materials delivered, it will be helpful to have an additional screen, such as a computer monitor or TV screen (to which you can connect via an HDMI cable).
Any additional requirements, and pre-course work information, will be detailed in the joining instructions sent after a booking has been confirmed.
